SNEEDVILLE

About This Ministry
Important Update on Our Local Ministry
We want to share an important change regarding our outreach efforts. We are no longer operating under the name Sneedville Mercy; however, our commitment to serving those in need within our community remains as strong as ever. Rather than continuing under a structured program, we have decided to address local needs on a more personal, case-by-case basis.
In light of this shift, we will be discontinuing our blessing boxes. While this aspect of our ministry is ending, our mission to provide for those facing hardship is not. If you or someone you know is experiencing food insecurity or is in need of assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We will do everything we can to help and ensure no one is left without support.
We appreciate your patience as we transition into this new approach, and we will provide further updates soon on what this will look like moving forward. Thank you for your continued prayers and support as we seek to serve our community in the way God leads us.
Frequently asked questions
Where is your food bank located?
Most of our food and clothing items are based in Morristown. If you need assistance with food, please reach out to us using the contact form below. Leave your name and phone number, and a team member will get in touch with you.
Are you going to host anymore community dinners?
We aim to continue hosting the Thanksgiving dinner for the community. Last year, we served nearly 500 plates. If we decide to proceed with this event, we will make an announcement on the Sneedville Mercy Facebook page and throughout town.
Do you take in homeless people?
If you or someone you know is facing homelessness, we are here to offer assistance. Although we do not have a dedicated homeless shelter, members of our church are prepared to provide temporary accommodations. Please reach out to us to arrange an interview with the pastor, and we'll do our best to assist. While we cannot guarantee availability, we will make every effort to help.
Do you have a warming station during freezing temperatures?
During the winter of 2023-24, temperatures approached single digits. We made every effort to find an organization willing to open its doors, but when no one responded, our pastor offered his home. Although we don’t have a shelter, many of our members are willing to welcome you into their homes. Please contact us using the portal below. We also offer transportation for local residents.
